THE FOOT DUO

I had been neglecting my feet until my crusty heels started to really bother me. Yeeesh. Being at the bottom of the "food chain" they really do not get much any nourishment and beauty treatment at all. I do feel sorry for them but there are just too many things I want to get for my face and when it comes to my feet, I have to cut the budget and usually it means no spending. However, after days of putting body cream on my feet and not seeing much improvement especially on my heels, I had to face the music and look for some feet solutions without breaking the bank.

Kit Pedi Stone is the cutest foot care tool I've ever seen. I adore the colour and the handle design makes it extremely convenient to use. I love how gentle it works on the heels to get rid of the dead skin yet it gets the job done fairly well. Once my heels feel smooth, I turn to SOAP&GLORY Heel Genius Foot Cream. They are not cocky to call it heel genius; it works wonders on my feet and I've seen a miracle result from the first day that I used this product. It has a mint blue colour and a minty fruity scent, which I prefer over the usual peppermint scent in most foot products. Although it feels like a thick cream, it is very easy to massage into the skin without leaving the skin feeling yucky and greasy. You only need a tiny bit of the product each time and I normally use an M&M size of the product on each foot. One tube should last for a few good months; which makes this product extremely affordable.

This is probably not the most sexy of posts; but let's face it, when we restore the baby smooth skin feel to our feet, we surely feel much sexier.

Have you tried these two products yet? What are your favourite foot rescue products?

THE ROOIBOS OBSESSION

I've developed a bit of Rooibos obsession recently. I first heard of Rooibos from my brother-in-law. When I asked him what's good to boost the immune system, he showed me his Rooibos tea and a webpage with its health benefits including curing headache, insomnia, allergies, premature aging etc etc (http://www.organicfacts.net/health-benefits/beverage/health-benefits-of-red-rooibos-tea.html).  Then he made me a cup of Rooibos with a bit of honey and I fell in love with it straight away. It has a very unique flavour, which I prefer over the normal black tea. I've been drinking Rooibos three or four cups per day over the past two weeks and I love the fact that it's 100% caffeine free and does not disrupt my sleep. I usually have it with a bit of milk and tiny bit of sugar or honey and it's so delightful that it feels like a treat.

I was having a browse at David Jones the other day and trying different body lotions on my hand. I wasn't paying attention to what's written on each bottle but all of a sudden I smelled something so familiar and lovely. You can imagine my excitement when I saw "ROOIBOS" on one of the bottles and of course I could not let myself go home without it. This Organic Rooibos Deeply Moisturising Body Lotion is made in South Africa by a company called GREENSCAPE. For some reason, the company website shown on the bottle does not exist and I cannot find much information about the company. Nonetheless it has become my everyday body lotion. It has a non-sticky and non-greasy formula and is absorbed by the skin easily. The scent from it is very true to Rooibos tea, something very special but not overwhelming. It's very light on the skin but it's moisturising enough to keep the skin soft and silky. I have to say I love this body lotion much more than the Body Shop Olive Body Butter that I bought as I find the Body Shop one to be too oily on my skin. Having said that, it's summer here in Australia so maybe I'll love that one for winter time when my skin requires more nourishment.  Last but not the least, it also has a "lovely" price tag. I paid AU$19.95 (500ml) at David Jones and I just checked online and found a AU$14 deal here.

Have you tried Rooibos tea or its beauty products yet? Do you like it?

2014 BEAUTY HAUL #2 BODY SHOP

I went to Body Shop today for its Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder and predictably I did not walk out of the shop with just that.

Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder (AU$28.95/11g): I am currently using MAC Bronzing Powder in the shade Refined Golden as my daily contour powder. I have no problem with that one but it does have some fine shimmer in it so I always want to get a matte finish bronzing powder. I've had my eye on the Body Shop Honey Bronzer for quite a while since I heard good reviews from +essiebutton 's youtube. Compared to the Mac Bronzing Powder, which I paid AU$39 for 10g, this Body Shop's one is truly a bargain and I cannot wait to see if I'll fall in love with it.

Olive Body Butter (AU$27.95/200ml): I do not own many Body Shop body butter myself mainly because I find many of the products' scents, although lovely, can be quite overwhelming for me. I enjoy light scent for body cream and this Olive Body Butter seems to tick that box for me.

Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray (AU$14.95/100ml): This was for the hubby. As he always feels hot (even in winter in Australia), summer is not his favourite season to have a good sleep. Hopefully this spray will keep his feet cool throughout the night so that he will not keep waking up from the heat.

Cranberry Joy Heart Soap (was AU$9.95 now AU$4.95/100g): It looks adorable. It smells incredible. It's love.

Body Shop is doing clearance on some of their Christmas stocks and the discount is up to 50% off http://www.thebodyshop.com.au/Category.aspx?Id=oc. I did not know this before I went to the store today and the store I was at did not have all the clearance products they have on the website. Otherwise I would definitely grab the cranberry shower gel to try.
